Patchstack is Hiring a Technical WordPress Content Writer (Freelance)

We’re seeking a talented freelance technical content writer to join our team as a partner to write, edit and share helpful content for WordPress developers. 

You’ll coordinate with our existing team to write step-by-step guides about WordPress.

The topic categories will revolve around, but are not limited to, security, speed, troubleshooting, and building sites with WordPress.

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone with experience writing technical tutorials, guides, and walkthroughs about WordPress. Attention to detail is crucial for us, as our audience aren’t WordPress beginners but rather people who are already familiar with WordPress and want to learn specific topics in more detail.

The ideal candidate is someone who loves to write, express complex solutions in easy-to-read language, writes SEO-friendly content, and has a keen eye for detail. 

Responsibilities

  • Write blogs on the topics provided by the Patchstack team.
  • Submit 2-3 blog posts a week. 
  • The posts must use clear American-English grammar. 
  • The posts should be properly formatted. 
  • Write the social media posts collateral of the blog posts.

Requirements

In content writing, attention to detail matters, and going in-depth to explain new concepts to the audience. We know that the most interesting people come to you from places you don’t expect.

Still, here are some important things that will help you succeed in this role.

Most important things

  • Knowledge of or experience in the WordPress ecosystem
  • Proven work experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter or similar role
  • Portfolio of published articles
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Research and learn about specific topics. 

Good to have:

  • SEO knowledge
  • Figma/Photoshop skills
